If you aren't with the Port of Tampa, why are you running this site?
Actually, the official site is quite good. The problem is that people have a problem locating it and it is an official site and doesn't have the flexibiliy that a private individual has. Thus, new information can be provided in unique ways. Also, by not being a political player, I am unfettered by County or other issues and can provide simple straight-forward information. Over time I'm hoping to add that kind of information and give access to companies that have proven to be helpful.

What is your angle?
Actually, there is little to this. I don't take any money from anyone for listings, etc. Maybe someday in the future I might do something like that, but I don't like the idea of making a lot of money off the name of the Port of Tampa. In fact, I'd be happy if everyone would just use this page to go straight to the official site. As long as it doesn't cost me anything and I can benefit, it's a good thing. I hope that someday this will result in something good. It's more of a Karma type thing. I am putting Google ads up, but that's just help pay with the hosting.

Can I link to your site?
You can, but I'd rather you link to the official Port site. I don't have banners and feel that such banners would be inappropriate as it may indicate some sort of authority from the Port of Tampa. This is an UNOFFICIAL site and nothing should ever imply anything else. If you'd like to link, though, feel free to use text links, but please make sure you have "Unofficial" somewhere in the link.

How do I get you to link to me?
I don't link to too many companies. Usually they either have something directly to do with the Port and the Port will benefit by my linking to them or they are clients of the hosting company we use. Please, if you require hosting, use them. They are good and are providing this service. I could not do this without them. If you contact me, I might tell you about their services, but I won't email you often or add you to lists or anything.
